Busbars

Rigid conductors that replace heavy cable runs in high current paths. We design and build busbar assemblies to the packaging and current ratings of your platform, in copper and in aluminium.

Why Busbars

Where current is high and space is tight, a busbar usually beats a cable bundle.

01

Light-Weighting

Busbars are central to light-weighting. A flat conductor carries the current of a heavy cable bundle at lower mass, which counts on every platform where weight drives range.

02

Aluminium Is Lighter And Cost Effective

Where the design allows it, aluminium busbars take the weight down further and cost less than the copper equivalent.

03

Assembly Time Reduces

A busbar drops into place as a single rigid part. Fewer loose leads to route, dress and terminate means less time per vehicle on the line.

04

Copper And Aluminium

Available in both copper and aluminium, so the conductor can be chosen against the current, the packaging and the cost target.

Our Busbar Range

Assemblies built to your drawings, in our own facility.

Charging port busbar assembly

Charging Port Busbar Assembly

Busbar assemblies that carry current from the charging inlet into the vehicle, formed and insulated to the routing of the port.

High voltage busbar assemblies

HV Busbar Assemblies

High voltage busbars for battery, inverter and power distribution connections, made to the clearance and creepage the application demands.

Insert moulding busbar

Insert Moulding Busbar

Conductors over-moulded with insulation in a single operation, so the busbar, its isolation and its mounting features come out as one part.

Aluminium round busbar

Aluminium Round Busbar

Round section aluminium busbars for high current runs where weight and cost both matter, formed and terminated to the routing of the vehicle.

Pan India Service And Support

Busbars are made to the platform, not to a catalogue. The engineering behind that is handled by INGAR directly.

Design

Application Engineering

Send us the current path, packaging envelope and terminations and our engineers will propose a busbar design in copper or aluminium.

Prototyping

Samples And Qualification

First articles are built on the same line as production, so what you fit and trial is what you will receive at volume.

Volume

Production And Delivery

Approved designs move into controlled production with full traceability, scheduled to your build programme as volumes ramp.
